How to Grow Your YouTube Channel TODAY

Over the past 28 days years, my YouTube channel has gotten 19K+ views and 39 new subscribers.

What most people don’t know?

This was HARD to obtain! Here’s what turned it around in June 2022.

🧵👇

I started doing YouTube Shorts!

YouTube Shorts is the fastest way to build your channel.

Use your phone & upload #Shorts!

Success here 100% comes down to:

• Copy the TikTok style

• Upload daily

• Try different content

• Repeat what works

Before uploading shorts?

I’d made ~100 videos since January.

I’d get a few views a month.

From January-June? The channel amassed only a whopping 20 subscribers.

Now? With shorts?

I’m getting a few subscribers each day.

Take a look. Here’s a screenshot of my analytics from yesterday.

Now, here’s a screenshot of my analytics from this morning.

Not only did I start making shorts — I started making shorts people wanted to watch.

At first, I thought “shorts” meant I could take an excerpt from a long video.

Nope 👎

Making “shorts” from my 53-minute podcast didn’t change a thing!

Here’s what you have to do to get picked up by the algorithm:

• Upload a video of less than :59 directly to the YouTube app

• Make a short in the style of TikTok: shoot vertical & use a sound

• Repeat often.

My shorts have been about TikTok success secrets, which came out of a 53-minute podcast in which I interviewed a friend about his time at VaynerMedia.

VaynerMedia is the AOR for TikTok, so my friend had a lot of TikTok algorithm tips to share.

This hot topic got me views.

Then I tried some sounds and trends that had already been successful on TikTok.

The one with the blue/red eye filter?

It sounds stupid, but it did well.

It had nothing to do with what my channel offers. It was just FUN. Yes, I recycled TikToks for YouTube shorts!

I uploaded shorts of my Bengal cats because they are cute!

Duh 🙄

Cats still run the Internet. Make shorts with them 😉

TL;DR — How to grow your YouTube channel right now:

• Use the YouTube app & upload shorts

• Make shorts like TikToks

• Upload daily if you can

• Upload a few times a day

• Share things people want to see (a no brainer) 🧠
