Next Week, I’ll Challenge Myself To Overcome a Common Content Mistake — Want to Come Along?

I am fried.

The car still isn’t fixed, the cat survived his medical emergency, and I’m halfway through my own dental drama… Perhaps “fried” is an understatement. I didn’t have time to plan, record, edit, and upload the Fearless 5 Podcast for next week.

So I’ll unpack a huge mistake I’m making instead.

I Can Do A Better Job At Promoting This Podcast

I have created 266 podcast episodes since 2019.

What this means is I ship 5 episodes a week, upload show notes, and then write social posts for the episodes. It sounds like a lot, but I have created a workflow that makes it possible (through trial and error).

But here’s the problem: Each podcast gets 2 social posts and I move on.

The Big Mistake Here Is Underpromoting!

There are likely a few podcasts I did last month (last year, or in 2020) that I can promote again!

Content isn’t a “set it and forget it” way of life!

I could do quite a few things here to help my little podcast grow that have nothing to do with making new episodes. I’m talking about content repurposing!

Instead of Shipping New Episodes, Let’s Repurpose The Old Ones

This will be a good week for me to do some reviewing of old episodes.

I can transcrib some of them into blogs. There can also be opportunities to create audio and video shorts. I can also create graphics, even if it’s just “pull quotes” of something I said on mic.

Of course, I’ll be seeking sparks of new ideas.
