We All Have To Start Somewhere: Let Me Share My Humble Beginnings
We have to start somewhere with what we have. I was digging through an old hard drive and I found some of the first graphics and blogs I made.
I was reviewing free/cheap writing SaaS and making my first (horrible) graphics in Canva c. 2015–2016.
This went with a blog. In the beginning, I thought it was really super important to create a graphic for every single blog post! 😂
I didn’t know where it would lead or what it would do for me. I simply created a way. I showed up, created, and…crickets 🦗
Hearing the sound of silence led me to get into digital marketing.
• How could I use SEO to get traffic to my site?
• How could I make more time to write?
• What’s my graphics style?
• How could I use social media to build an audience?
I was a one-woman show with a free Canva account and a $12/mo Squarespace website.
I had marketing experience in radio broadcasting. I’d written SEO content before it was cool. But guess what?
No one is going to give you your niche. No one is going to give you the intersection of where all your talents, passions, and experiences intersect.
You have to do it yourself.
