You Work Too Much And You Need An Unstructured Day

I hit a weird burnout over the past two weeks.

So I planned nothing for this weekend and left no “work” to be done. It’s hard to turn off your mind when you’re a creator. Ideas flow like mad, you want to be near your laptop, you want to get on that call…

Until you don’t! Then what?

You Need An Unstructured Day!

I’m disciplined AF.

My planner/journal is my favorite thing. I ship daily. I study a lot. I keep a clean house. Maybe I’m anal-retentive?

Not today!

Screw The Planner, Go Where The Day Takes You

You need one day when you don’t have to look at the clock because that’s the ultimate freedom.

A friend came to town and surprised me, so we did shopping, lunch, and stuff we used to do back before 2020 happened.

It was glorious.

Leave An Unplanned Day Because It Leaves Room For Magic

Imagine if I’d had some busy work on the planner? Or had some appointment or meeting scheduled today?

I’m so glad I left room for the day to just take shape.

When is the last time you did this? Try leaving an entire weekend unscheduled and plan-free just to leave space for something great to come in. We can’t plan our whole lives away.
